Traditionally, strategic planning has been a process that involves documenting business goals and objectives, then developing specific plans and initiatives to achieve the desired end state. This process while effective, is limited in several ways. Strategic planning is often bounded by management perspective, is not inclusive of diverse thinking, and does not stimulate innovation.
